CHICAGO, IL – Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) (www.lgcchicago.org) announced today 25 C-level and senior executives selected for the second cohort of The Daniel Burnham Fellowship.

The Fellowship, an accelerated civic onboarding experience for top executives new to Chicago or new to their role, is designed to inspire these leaders to mobilize and exert their combined influence and intellect to positively impact Chicago, its future, and the continued economic progress of the region.

Through cross-industry learning and connections with renowned speakers and peers, The Daniel Burnham Fellowship participants leave with broadened perspectives and strategic opportunities that would otherwise remain unrealized.

“LGC is honored to convene this influential cohort of senior executives from diverse industries and backgrounds in Greater Chicago. They will immerse themselves in an exclusive experience providing a deeper understanding of our region, its networks, and the business community,” said Leadership Greater Chicago CEO and Founding Daniel Burnham Fellow Maria Wynne.

“Our leaders immediately apply their new learnings and perspectives to their approach to business and civic engagement. We arm these leaders with the opportunities to connect and explore key issues affecting our region so they can ultimately drive the change needed to make a positive impact in Chicago and beyond.”

By the year 2030, Chicago is projected to become the next U.S. megacity, defined by a population of 10 million. To become a megacity with opportunities for all, LGC recognizes that the civic community and its leadership will be important drivers of this trajectory.

The Daniel Burnham Fellowship engages participants in Chicago’s vibrant structure of civic leaders, providing an interconnected view of the key opportunities and challenges facing the business community and region.
